Edinburgh
provides people with a vast range of restaurants and it can be daunting to
choose just one: The Printing Press
is one of my top choices anytime I’m in the capital.
The
interior is elegant with neutral colours: The black and white marble floors,
neutral coloured walls and ceilings all help to create a sophisticated feel.
Although the restaurant is sophisticated, the brown leather seats and spacious surroundings
help you to relax into your venue.
The
restaurant offers a range of different menus from Breakfast, an all day, Sunday
lunch, an express lunch and also a fantastic Christmas menu. Majority of the
food on offer is traditional dishes making the most of Scottish produce. The
meals mainly focus around meat dishes offering: steaks, beef, duck and haggis
just to name a few. I always choose the Steak pie being a personal favourite of
mine and it is always exceptional.
There are
also a range of desserts: for the chocolate lovers amongst us, the chocolate
and banana pudding and warm chocolate mousse are essentials. A pumpkin cheesecake
is also on offer for those liking to try something with a kick to it and a
range of sorbets and Scottish ice creams are available for those wanting a
light palate cleanser.
A range of
cocktails, whiskies, wines and other beverages are also available. You’ll be
more than happy with any of your choices and if you’re struggling, the staff
are well educated to help you with your chosen selection.
With Christmas time approaching Edinburgh is also a magical place to be and the printing press adds to this with it’s wonderful location, with the exterior being covered in Christmas lights it truly makes for a fantastic time and will fully get you in the mood for festivities.
